Harvey Morton Celebrates Big Win at Hallam Enterprise Awards!
6th October 2017
Young entrepreneur Harvey Morton is celebrating a richly-deserved win at the annual Hallam Enterprise Awards, having grabbed the coveted Audience Choice Award for Best Pitch.
Harvey Morton IT Support has grown from an idea entered into Sheffield’s BiG Challenge Enterprise Programme, helping cultivate entrepreneurially-minded students at regional schools and colleges into the credible and profitable business it is today. Winning this award is sure to open new doors for 19-year-old Harvey, and solidifies the company’s reputation as the go-to source of IT and digital marketing assistance in Sheffield - helping businesses of all sizes and industries step their IT activities up a notch! Offering a diverse range of creative IT solutions tailored to suit each company, Harvey Morton IT Support is dedicated to supporting clients with all their IT needs, and Harvey prides himself on an unparalleled level of dedication and professionalism.
In 2013, Harvey began offering at-home IT support and tuition, and his company now includes four key services in social media management, web design, media production and app development.
In addition to producing work for big name clients such as Alton Towers and Westminster University, Harvey has also developed a socially-conscious side to the business, and works charitably to help develop employability opportunities for young people. Having suffered at the hands of bullies and people who told him he’d never be able to make the company work, Harvey has already helped turn things around for 43 young people from underprivileged backgrounds, helping guide them into suitable work placements to help build their own bright future.
“A few years ago, I wouldn’t have been able to stand up and present my business in front of a room of people, and that makes me realise how far I’ve come,” says Harvey. “Rebuilding my confidence has been really tough and it’s taken a lot of work. Winning the Audience Choice Award for Best Pitch reaffirms everything I’ve worked so hard for. I’m so grateful to have had this opportunity, and I would like to thank everyone who has helped me with my public speaking along the way.”
